Google Doodle honours Bubble Tea!!!

Today, january 29, google is honouring the global craze for bubble tea with a cute and whimsical animation that is shown on its homepage. The interactive doodle lets users assemble their ideal cup of "digital bubble tea" by pressing and holding different elements like milk and boba balls.

During the Covid-19 epidemic, bubble tea—also known as boba tea—gained a significant following and has since persisted in popularity. The beverage, which had its start in taiwan in the 17th century, was even made into an emoji on january 29, 2020, therefore google chose that day to recognise the beverage's popularity.

The bubble tea-themed google doodle is both a celebration of the popular beverage and a fun and engaging method for people to interact with the google brand. The option to make your own bubble tea will appear once an animation begins playing on the screen when you click the doodle.

According to Google's Doodle website, traditional Taiwanese tea culture, which dates back to the 17th century, is where the milky and sour beverage was known as bubble tea got its start. But it wasn't until the 1980s that bubble tea became what it is today. Initially a local pleasure, the beverage has had a recent explosion in popularity.
