School education minister Anbil Mahesh inaugurated the new courtyard shelter building in a ceremony held at Chaliyamangalam, Tanjore district. Speaking to the media after this, he said that the school education Department is following the instructions given by the health Department as the fever is spreading across tamil Nadu.

He said that medical camps will be conducted wherever there is a fever for more than three days. He said that there is no need for people to be afraid of the flu and that there is no need to give holidays to schools and that action will be taken according to what the health department says.As education is more important for students,a proper action will be taken by the government to control the spread of disease.

Speaking further, he said that 1 lakh 14 thousand students studying in 1,545 schools are benefiting from the breakfast program launched by the Chief Minister. In this case, minister Anbil Mahesh said that the chief minister will take steps to expand the breakfast program to the next stage. The minister also said that primary education is the basis of learning and therefore more attention is being paid to it.
