Professor who called Muslim Student 'Terrorist'?...
In Manipal university located in Udupi, Karnataka, a student has been called as terrorist by a professor. Due to this, now a new ruckus has happened and the university management has taken a very strict action.
The Manipal Institute has condemned the incident and ordered an inquiry. An MIT official said, "The professor has been barred from taking further classes. An inquiry team has been formed to probe the incident." The professor allegedly called a student 'Kasab'. His name was a bit similar to Kasab, the terrorist of the mumbai attack.
The professor apologized the student called him out. Regarding the professor's attitude during the class, the student asked how they can pass such comments, they are critical. The professor tried to dismiss his shocking remark as a joke, but the student retorted, "26/11 is not funny... Being a Muslim and facing such things in this country is not funny.
The student criticized the professor's behavior and said how can you call me a terrorist during the whole class? After this, to what extent is it right to apologize in private. According to sources, the professor later apologized to the student, but the student was deeply hurt by the professor's statement, after which the professor has been suspended.
