Gandhi Jayanti is observed on october 2 to recognise the anniversary of Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi's birth. Throughout the nation, this day is recognised as a national holiday. On october 2, 1869, in Porbandar, Gujarat, mahatma gandhi was born. This year marks the 152nd birthday of the nation's founder. Friends, october 2 is mahatma Gandhi's birthday. The international Day of Non-Violence is observed on october 2 in recognition of his lifetime of preaching nonviolence. The UN General assembly established the international Day of Non-Violence on october 2 on june 15, 2007. We will never forget bapu as an example of peace and truth. On october 2, 1869, he was born in Porbandar, Gujarat, and throughout his life, he accomplished great things. After receiving his law degree from the UK, he practised law in South Africa. In his book, "My Experiments with Truth," he described his trying life. Throughout his life, up until India's independence, he bravely and patiently opposed british tyranny for the country's freedom.
