Students participated enthusiastically in the NEET UG 2024 exam held across the country. This year, the number of candidates appearing for NEET-UG is the highest ever compared to the number of candidates appearing for any competitive examination in India. According to NTA officials, about 24 lakh students had registered for this exam and 23.3 lakh students have given this exam on 5th May.
Wrong paper distributed in Sawai Madhopur
Apart from some sporadic cases, this exam was conducted smoothly across the country. Only one case was reported from rajasthan where wrong question papers were distributed in Girls Senior Secondary adarsh Vidya Mandir Sawai Madhopur. All the question papers of NEET UG exam were prepared in both hindi and english languages, but due to the mistake of the center superintendent, the students who had opted to take the exam in hindi were given the question paper in English. After this, the students took the question paper and went out despite the inspector stopping them.
However, this did not affect the NEET UG exams being held in other centers and the exam was conducted smoothly there. According to NTA's senior director Sadhana Parashar, the exam of 120 students who were affected by getting the question paper in the wrong language was also held on May 5.
Munnabhai caught in Bharatpur
An incident of a Munnabhai being caught from Bharatpur has also come to light. Where a doctor was caught giving the paper in place of the candidate. Bharatpur SSP said that a total of 6 accused have been arrested.
