Today, august 28, is the first day when registration for the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering, or GATE 2025, will open at indian Institute of technology (IIT) Roorkee. Eligible applicants can submit their applications using the gate2025.iitr.ac.in website once the procedure begins. september 26 is the deadline for GATE 2025 applications without a late cost, while october 7 is the deadline for applications with a late charge.
 

It is planned to take place on february 1, 2, 15, and 16, 2025. Every exam day will have two shifts. A candidate may participate in up to two GATE 2025 papers.
 

GATE 2025 eligibility criteria:
• Applicants may take the GATE 2025 exam if they are enrolled in any undergraduate program in the third year or above and if they hold a degree in engineering, technology, architecture, science, commerce, the arts, or humanities that has been authorized by the government.

• Additionally eligible are candidates with accreditation from professional societies recognized by the MoE, AICTE, UPSC, and UGC as being on par with BE, BTech, BArch, BPlanning, etc.

• To be eligible for GATE 2025, candidates who have earned or are pursuing their qualifying degrees from nations other than india must be in their third year of study or have finished their bachelor's degree in engineering, technology, architecture, science, commerce, the arts, or humanities, which must have lasted at least three years.


GATE 2025: Documents required to apply for the test

 • A crisp, high-quality photo of the candidate that complies with the specifications listed in the brochure.

• A high-quality, requirement-compliant picture of the candidate's signature.

• If appropriate, a scanned PDF copy of the Category (SC/ST) certificate.

• If relevant, a scanned PDF copy of the PwD certificate.

• If appropriate, a scanned copy of the dyslexia certificate in PDF format.

• A valid picture ID, such as an aadhar UID (preferable), passport, PAN card, voter ID, or driver's license, scanned copy.

• The candidate's name, birthdate, and unique identification number must be on the picture ID. On the day of the exam, the original copy of this picture ID must be shown for validation.
