These Nairobi flies are said to release a special type of chemical after landing on human skin. The name of this chemical is pederin.. It is said that as soon as it gets on the skin, there is a burning sensation. After that, the skin becomes red and rashes appear. It is stated that after 48 hours, blisters and rashes start to appear on the skin. It is said that if a fly splashes too much chemical on a person, it is also a danger to life.
