Polio drops camp across TN the day after tomorrow..!

Director of Public health Department Dr. Selvavinayagam said that the third phase of polio vaccination for children under the National Vaccination Program will be given on january 4, 2023 (the day after tomorrow) in tamil Nadu as a precaution to prevent polio. According to this, a circular sent to all district health Officers states, tamil Nadu is the premier state in the implementation of health programs. In particular, vaccination of children and pregnant women is undertaken and implemented on a wartime basis.
The tamil Nadu government provides vaccines to 10 lakh pregnant women and 9 lakh children every year. For newborns, polio drops are given in 2 phases. First, given after 6 weeks of birth and second, after 14 weeks.Caution:

Apart from this, camps are also being conducted to provide polio drops. Although tamil Nadu has eradicated polio, polio drops are given as a precautionary measure. In this case, the third phase of polio drops is going to be provided from january 4. Therefore, a health Department circular has been sent to the district health Officers to initiate all necessary preparatory work. All parents keep a reminder and put polio for their children under the age of 5 years.
