Patients will not get treatment in Kota hospitals…?


The incident of rape and murder of a junior doctor in kolkata is being strongly opposed. There is a lot of anger among various organizations including doctors across the country. Doctors have called for a strike in many states. The problems of patients have increased due to the doctors going on strike. Patients reaching OPD are having to return. The hospital system has collapsed due to the strike of junior and resident doctors. In such a situation, now the patients of Kota will also not get the facility of treatment for 24 hours.


In protest against the kolkata incident, doctors have announced a one-day work boycott. National Vice President of indian Medical Association Dr. ashok Sharda said that medical services will be closed for 24 hours in Kota hospitals. Doctors have decided to halt medical services in hospitals except emergency. Doctors will not work in hospitals from 6 am. However, patients coming in emergency will be treated. The boycott of all medical services will continue till 6 am on Sunday.

Medical services in Kota will remain suspended for a day in protest against the kolkata incident. It is worth mentioning that the incident of rape with a junior doctor took place in the intervening night of 8-9 august in RG Kar Medical College. The junior doctor was on night duty in the hospital on 8 August. In the morning, the body of the female doctor was found in a semi-nude state in the seminar hall on the fourth floor. Rape was confirmed in the post-mortem report. The deceased was a second-year postgraduate student and trainee doctor of the Chest Medicine department in the medical college. The incident of rape and murder of the female doctor is being protested across the country. The protesting doctors are demanding the implementation of the Protection Act.
