Ruckus broke out over eating non-veg on Mahashivratri in Delhi's SAU (South Asian University). It is alleged that ABVP members pulled the hair of a female student. According to SFI (Student's Federation of India), members of the student organization ABVP beat up students who were eating non-veg.
What is the whole incident?
According to SFI, ABVP students adopted a dictatorial attitude towards the students in SAU (South Asian University). According to which it was said that non-veg should not be served in the mess due to Mahashivratri. SFI delhi opposed this, after which a fight broke out between the students.

SFI claims that many students who were eating non were beaten up by ABVP. Even the hair of a female student was pulled, as seen in the video. According to SFI's Suraj Elamon (President, SFI Delhi), Aisi Ghosh (Secretary, SFI Delhi), "The mess is a common place for all students and it is wrong and undemocratic to forcefully impose food traditions of one community."
They further said, "ABVP goons are seen assaulting students. They pulled the hair of female students and dragged them violently. They even attacked the mess staff because they were serving non-veg food. SFI delhi demands that the SAU administration immediately take strict action against these goons so that they cannot attack common students further."
What did ABVP say?
On this matter, ABVP alleges that SFI and leftist activists attacked students who were fasting on Mahashivratri in South Asian university (SAU). They say that the fasting students had already demanded satvik food from the mess administration, which the administration accepted and arranged for pure vegetarian food in a mess. According to ABVP, SFI activists forcibly tried to serve non-veg in the mess and when the fasting students protested, they beat them up and abused them. This incident hurt religious sentiments and spoiled the atmosphere of the university.
