Meat and fish banned in this city, will not be sold…?

A big decision has been taken on the festival of Chaitra navratri in the religious city of Maihar in Madhya Pradesh. The Maihar district administration has banned the sale of meat, fish and eggs for 9 days of Navratri. Meat and fish shops will remain closed from march 30 to april 7.

Maihar SDM Vikas Singh issued an order saying that this ban has been imposed to maintain religious sanctity during navratri and to respect the faith of the devotees. During this time, meat, fish and eggs will not be sold anywhere in the city.

It is worth noting that Maihar is a religious city and people from many corners of the country come here to visit Maa Sharda on the holy festival of Navratri. During this time, the sale of meat, fish and eggs is completely banned here under Section 163 of the indian Civil Defense Code 2023.
