These habits are spoiling the health of your knees!
Knees are the most important and active joints of our body, which play an important role in everyday activities. But sometimes some of our common habits gradually start harming the health of the knees. If these habits are not changed in time, then problems like knee pain, swelling and difficulty in walking can arise in the future. Let us know about some such bad habits which can prevent knees from getting damaged?
Sitting in the same position for a long time
In modern times, most of the work of people has started happening through laptop or computer. Because of this, they sit in the same position for a long time. The sitting lifestyle has a direct effect on the knees. Sitting in one place for hours reduces blood circulation in the knees, due to which the joints become stiff.
Lifting excess weight
Excess body weight directly puts pressure on the knees. Due to this, the cartilage starts to wear out quickly and pain starts in the knees. If you want your joints to remain fit, then keep your weight under control, take a balanced diet and exercise regularly.
Sitting in the wrong way
Sitting cross-legged on the ground or sitting for a long time with knees bent also affects the knees. If you want to keep your knees healthy, then make it a habit to sit straight on a chair and keep changing your posture from time to time.
Not doing exercise
Not keeping the body active weakens the muscles, due to which the knees do not get proper support. To strengthen the knees, do low-impact exercises like walking, cycling or swimming regularly.
Wearing high heels or hard shoes
Wrong footwear can spoil the alignment of the knees, which causes difficulty in walking and gradually pain starts. For this, wear comfortable, supportive and flat shoes. This gives relief to the knees.
