Who will benefit from reducing the age of contesting elections?
Political expert vishnu raised the question that if a 21-year-old common man contests elections, who will vote for him? He further said, 'People will not elect him as a councillor, let alone an mla or MP. It is also very difficult for the society to accept him. Psychologically, it is difficult to accept a person five years younger than you for a big post. People have not been able to accept rahul gandhi completely yet. Therefore, it seems that if the age of contesting elections is reduced, then only dynastic politics will benefit from this.'
"It is easy for children from political families to win elections. If PM Modi's children were in the election field today, it would have been very easy for them to win. Similarly, we can see the example of any political family. Their children will not have to wait for 25 years again, they will win the election four years earlier and capture the seat. This way the path stops for common people. None of the common people get a chance to contest elections. Someone should be given the opportunity to contest elections at the age of less than 25 only if he has proved his ability in some way."
