Performance of Panchayats: Which states are at the forefront?

According to the report, the 'Functionaries Index' which reflects the status of employees in panchayats has increased from 39.6% in 2013-14 to 50.9% in 2021-22. Apart from this, attention has also been paid to increasing the capacity of panchayats through the National Gram Swaraj Abhiyan (RGSA, 2018). This has also improved the 'Capacity Enhancement Component' significantly and it has increased from 44% to 54.6%.
