Lack of charging stations, is the biggest obstacle for EV!

It is true that the number of charging stations in india is still low, especially on highways and in rural areas. At present, some of the charging stations across the country do not have good facilities. This makes people worry about what will happen if the battery runs out on the way.

In response to a question asked in the Lok Sabha on this problem, it was said that the Government of india is continuously working to promote charging infrastructure. Under the FAME-II scheme, Rs 839 crore has been allocated for setting up Electric Vehicle Public Charging Stations (EVPCS). Under this scheme, 2877 charging stations are being built across the country. Similarly, under the PM E-DRIVE scheme, Rs 2000 crore has been allocated for setting up electric vehicle public charging infrastructure.

The government, in collaboration with the states, is making policies simple and clear to promote the establishment of charging stations. Private companies are being given incentives to open charging stations. Battery swapping and fast charging technology are being promoted to reduce the time taken for charging.

That is, the government is trying to overcome the problem of charging stations. However, there is still a lot to be done. It is difficult to say whether the lack of charging stations is due to the policies of the government or not. But it is certain that the government will have to work faster in this direction.
