King Akbar and Birbal were viewing Yamuna River from the palace.
It was monsoon season and the river was turbulent.
The gushing river water Was making sounds.
The sound gave the impression as if the river was crying.
Suddenly King Akbar asked Birbal, “Why is the river crying?”
“Your Majesty when a girl leaves her father’s house after marriage she cries,
in the Same way river Yamuna is separated from its father, the mountain,
and is making Way to her husband, the sea.
She is crying because she is leaving behind the father Mountain,” replied Birbal.
Akbar smiled on hearing this answer
