Emperor Akbar asked Birbal two question, “why the wrestler didn’t win and why seekh-kebab didn’t taste good?”
“They were not seasoned,” was Birbal’s two in one reply.
Akbar was pleased with the answer and again he put forward two questions and expecting one answer. The questions were, “Why the farmer is sad but the potter is happy?”
“Because it didn't rain."
Akbar was satisfied with the answer and could not help complimenting Birbal for his intelligence.
