Registration begins for kids vaccine - How to do it?


PM Modi had declared that the government will start a vaccination drive for children of 15-18 years from january 3. According to officials, the number of kids in the nation aged 15 to 18 may be between 7 to 8 crore. The central government has announced that children can reserve to be vaccinated through the COWIN portal from january 1. The federal government is taking the necessary steps to vaccinate children amid the Omicron threat. Dr. RS Sharma, Chairman, Cowin Portal, told reporters today that children between the ages of 15 and 18 can book on the Cowin portal on january 1 to be vaccinated. He also said that most of the students do not have documents like aadhar so they can make reservations using 10th class school identity cards. Only the covid-19 covaxin from Bharat Biotech has received approval for emergency use in children. The study also found that the interval between the booster dose and the second dose for those over 60 years of age could be as long as 9 to 12 months. Zydus Cadila's ZyCoV-D vaccine is not yet included in the coronavirus vaccine category. Significantly, the ZyCoV-D vaccine is the world's first DNA-based vaccine.
