Ways to stimulate the brain development of your child??

The baby's brain development begins during pregnancy and continues into old age. All parents think that the child should have good brain development with good knowledge as he/she grows up. Like a building, it needs a strong foundation, there is a lot of information we do not know about the brain development of newborns.

How does a newborn's brain work?

The brain is made up of different parts that control how we hear, walk, solve problems, and how to feel. There are millions of brain cells or neurons in each region. These neurons communicate with each other by sending chemical messages at small intervals called synapses.

As messages are re-absorbed, more connections are made, and "neural pathways" are formed. These pathways are called the "wiring" of the brain. In the first years of life, these connections grow very fast.

Did you know?

Your baby's brain wiring is not fully connected at birth. It is very active and will change and grow in response to what is happening around them. These are everyday experiences — activities such as playing, reading, learning and interacting, and responding to people - help develop your child's brain.

Tips on how you can help:

1. Provide a safe and loving home for your child. Create daily routines that your child can trust. Keep your house quiet.

2. Help your child explore their surroundings inside and outside the home. Games help kids learn, and you're just your kid's first play friend. Remember to talk to your child while doing your daily routine.

3. Take care of your baby's health from time to time. Make sure your child is regularly seen by a health care provider.

4. Build social connections. Discover services and programs available in your neighborhood.

5. Choose quality child care. In times when you have to stay away from your child, leave your child to a caregiver who cares just as much as you do.

The various factors mentioned above are helpful for your baby's brain development. You can see the improvement in their overall development if the foundation is well laid.
