How to identify whether children have autism or not?

There are some important signs to identify autism, which can be seen normally in children. If the child is unable to recognize his name at the age of 9 months and does not respond when called, then this can be a major sign.

Apart from this, when the child does not make eye contact with anyone while talking and keeps looking here and there again and again, then this can also be a sign. If the child does not express emotions like happiness, anger, sadness or surprise and does not show any reaction on the face, then it can be a sign of developmental disorder. At the age of 12 months, children may have difficulty playing normal games or imitating small activities, such as saying 'bye-bye' or imitating other simple gestures.

At the age of 15 months, if the child does not share his interests with others, like showing toys or objects, then this can also be a warning sign. At the age of 18 months, if the child does not make gestures to show his interest, like not making gestures after seeing a lizard, animal or any other interesting thing, then this should also be looked at carefully. At the age of 24 months, if a child is unable to understand the emotions of others and show empathy, it could be a sign that he is having problems with social interaction.
