The price of tomatoes has gone up again. At a record level of up to 80 rupees. Traders say this is the highest price so far this year. Yield declines and the tomato crop in other states is the highest price due to lack.
The madanapalle market is currently importing 150 metric tonnes of tomatoes. Tomato prices have plummeted due to declining imports from other states and heavy rains damaging crops. The situation seems to remain the same until the new crop is handed out.

In the chittoor district (Chittoor district) madanapalle market, the price of a kilo of tomato is around Rs 74. Prices have soared due to the lack of large tomato yields in the state at present.
All the crops are being shifted to the madanapalle market as there is no big tomato in the outside markets. Tomatoes from the surrounding districts are coming to the madanapalle market. Farmers are happy with the good price of tomatoes even in the off-season. But the farmers, as always, are being deceived by the middlemen. These prices have further saddened the financially distressed commoners to this corona blow.
