Scientists have discovered the world's largest plant. Scientists in australia have found the world's largest plant under the sea. Scientists discovered a big meadow under the sea, with the help of genetic testing it was found that it is the same plant.


The plant is as big as a 20 thousand football field.

According to the BBC report, this plant is a sea Grass and it has covered an area of 200 square kilometers. Scientists told that this is equivalent to 20 thousand football fields. This plant is three times bigger than the city of Manhattan in America. On Tuesday, a study report came out on this sea grass.


Many sea creatures living inside a plant

This flowering plant growing under the sea is called Posidonia Australis. It was found in a place called Shark Bay in Western Australia. Elizabeth Sinclair of The university of Western Australia's school of Biological Sciences and Oceans said that this plant is in a World heritage Site. Many times the question came before the scientists that how many types of plants are found in this sea Grass Meadow of australia, now the answer has been found, only one.



Elizabeth Sinclair and her team took 10 samples from 10 different locations between 2012 and 2019. The researchers also collected data on parameters such as depth, water temperature, salt content in the water.
