First eclipse of the year is a hybrid solar eclipse..!?

The first solar eclipse of this 2023 year occurs on april 20 which is next month. This solar eclipse can be seen from 7:04 AM to 12:29 PM. This is called a 'Ningaloo Solar Eclipse' or a 'Hybrid Solar Eclipse'. This solar eclipse cannot be seen directly in India. However, you can watch it via live streaming from other countries. Following this, another solar eclipse will occur on october 14.
What is a Hybrid Solar Eclipse?

An annular eclipse and a total solar eclipse are combined to form a hybrid solar eclipse. The moon's shadow falls across the earth and moves, shifting from one to the other. During this rare eclipse, the sun will appear as a ring for a few seconds.

Solar Eclipse - Where, When, and How?

The eclipse will be visible in countries in Australia, East, and South Asia, the Pacific Ocean, Antarctica, and the indian Ocean regions. However, it is not found in India. A Ring of fire solar eclipse is usually visible for a few seconds over the indian and Pacific oceans. Meanwhile, the total eclipse will be visible only in Exmouth, Western Australia, Timor Leste, and West Papua.
How to watch a solar eclipse safely?

NASA says it is dangerous to look directly at the sun during a solar eclipse. It, therefore, recommends that special eye protection is necessary for viewing sunlight. Glasses that can be used to view the eclipse include black polymer glass, aluminum mylar glass, and No. 14 welding glass. These are filter glasses that filter sunlight. Viewing the eclipse through a camera lens, binoculars, or telescope without a protective solar filter can also cause serious eye damage.
