Haridwar's 66-Year-Old Falooda Shop Continues to Delight Locals and Tourists

Haridwar, renowned globally for its spiritual significance, is also celebrated for its unique culinary offerings. Among its most cherished treats is the Falooda from a time-honoured shop located near Har Ki Pauri. This establishment, known as Prakash Lok, has been serving its renowned Falooda for 66 years now.

Located a short walk from the famous Har Ki Pauri, Prakash Lok’s shop attracts a steady stream of customers, drawn by the promise of delicious Falooda made from pure milk. The shop, situated near the cold well in Moti Bazaar, is now run by the third generation of the founding family, maintaining the same exceptional taste that has garnered loyal customers for decades.According to shop operator dhruv saini, the Falooda, along with their kulfi and Rabri, is made from milk sourced directly from their own dairy farm. saini notes that in over six decades of operation, there have been no complaints about the quality of their offerings. He takes pride in the fact that visitors often return to the shop, bringing friends and family to enjoy the famous Falooda.


Customer Pankaj Kumar, who travelled from Delhi, expressed his enthusiasm for Prakash Lok’s Falooda, emphasising that it remains a highlight of his visits to Haridwar. Kumar, who frequents the city for religious reasons, affirmed that the Falooda‘s remarkable taste is a significant draw.

Priced at Rs 70, the Falooda at Prakash Lok’s shop continues to be a popular choice for both locals and tourists alike, promising a taste experience that endures through the generations.
