SpiceJet flight from delhi to Darbhanga cancelled…?

SpiceJet flight SG 495 from delhi to Darbhanga was cancelled at the last moment. This caused the passengers to get angry. The passengers were about to board after five minutes when suddenly the cancellation of the flight was announced. The passengers expressed strong displeasure over this sudden decision. The passengers were waiting for the flight at Terminal 3 of delhi airport for a long time. As soon as they got the information about the cancellation of the flight, there was a ruckus there.

Ruckus at the boarding gate

After the news of the flight cancellation, the passengers stood at the boarding gate and started shouting slogans. Slogans of "SpiceJet Murdabad, Murdabad" started echoing there. The passengers were protesting by raising their hands and demanding answers from the airport officials. The passengers were demanding a clear answer from SpiceJet as to why the flight was cancelled and what arrangements would be made for their further travel.

Some passengers flying on the Delhi-Darbhanga route alleged that the airline has been canceling flights on this route frequently for the last few months. They alleged that every other day SpiceJet is canceling Delhi-Darbhanga flights just before boarding. They said that this is causing anger among the passengers. The airline has not yet issued any statement on the matter.

SpiceJet struggling to survive?

Last month, aviation regulator DGCA put SpiceJet under surveillance after a recent audit revealed "some deficiencies". The airline is struggling to fully restore operations despite raising several funds last year. SpiceJet lags behind rivals indigo and Tata-owned air india in terms of market share. SpiceJet announced on september 10 that Carlyle Group's commercial aviation investment and servicing unit would account for $40.2 million of the airline's lease dues and convert its $30 million dues into equity.
