If a wolf or leopard kills someone, can you get compensation?

UP government gives Rs 5 lakh
If a person dies in an attack by a wild animal in Uttar Pradesh, then in such a situation, the government gives Rs 5 lakh as compensation to the family of that person. However, let us tell you that a list of wild animals has been prepared by the government. Only those animals which are included in that list are classified as wild animals.
If any animal is outside that list, then the government does not provide compensation. In Uttar Pradesh, the government provides Rs. 4 lakhs in case of permanent disability due to a wild animal attack. Similarly, Rs. 1 lakh is given for partial disability and Rs. 1 lakh is given for serious injury.
Different provisions in different states
While in UP, Rs. 5 lakhs are given in case of death due to a wild animal attack, Rs. 10 lakhs are given as compensation by the state government in Bihar. The bihar government also has a rule that this compensation will be given only for the loss caused by wild animals. The bihar government has released a list of wild animals. It includes animals like leopard, tiger, bear, elephant, hyena, wild boar, wolf, jackal, rhinoceros, wild dog and crocodile.
If someone dies in a wild animal attack or becomes completely disabled, 10 lakh rupees will be given. On the other hand, if someone is seriously injured, 1.44 lakh rupees will be given. If someone has suffered a minor injury, then he will be given 24 thousand rupees. In Uttarakhand, the government gives a compensation of ₹ 6 lakh on death due to a wild animal attack. Similarly, in other states also the compensation amount is in lakhs.
