Gurgaon’s Pizzeria Da Susy Among World's 100 Best Pizzerias
In a remarkable achievement for indian cuisine, Gurgaon’s Pizzeria Da Susy has been named the only indian eatery in the prestigious 100 Best Pizzerias of 2024 list, securing the 86th position. This recognition was announced by the Italy-based 50 Top pizza Awards during a ceremony in Naples on september 4, 2024.
Head chef Susanna Di Cosimo, affectionately known as Susy, expressed her gratitude on Instagram, stating, “This is an incredible honor for us, and we are deeply grateful to represent india on such a prestigious stage.” She emphasized that this accolade inspires the team to continuously refine their craft.
Pizzeria Da Susy is known for its diverse menu, offering everything from traditional Neapolitan pizzas to unique creations featuring ingredients like spinach, pumpkin, and smoked salmon. This isn’t the restaurant’s first recognition; it was also ranked 13th among the 50 Best Pizzerias in Asia-Pacific earlier this year.
The global rankings saw Una pizza Napoletana from New York claim the top spot, followed by Diego Vitagliano Pizzeria and I Masanielli – Francesco Martucci in second place, and The pizza Bar in tokyo at third.
The 50 Top pizza Awards are based on a rigorous evaluation process involving nearly 1,000 anonymous inspectors who assess pizzerias on food quality and overall atmosphere.
