Paula asked for work from home because of nausea

Employer Ammar Kabir also used jazz hands emoji in his message, which the court considered wrong. Actually, a pregnant woman named Paula Miluska had asked her boss for permission to work from home due to morning sickness. On this, Ammar not only sent a message to the woman and told her to fire her, but also used jazz hands emoji at the end, which has a smiling face and both hands.

The company cannot fire a woman just because of pregnancy

The UK Employment Tribunal held that the woman was fired from her job only because of her pregnancy, which is completely unfair. The court has therefore ordered Roman Property Group Limited in Birmingham to pay compensation of £93,616.74. Miluska is an investment consultant. In october 2022, she came to know that she was pregnant and one day her health deteriorated due to morning sickness. During this time, she asked her boss for permission to work from home, but the company fired her from the job. Kabir had asked Paula if she comes to the office and works for a few hours every day, which the court considered completely wrong.
