Bangalore Known as the City of Gardens is one of the prettiest cities of India. This fifth largest metropolitan city is also known as the silicon valley of India. Known for its heritage and cultural sites, one has a lot to do and see here.
1.     Seshadri Iyer Memorial

Constructed in red sand stone, this distinctive building in Cubbon Park houses a public library and the Bangalore High Court. The surrounding grounds encompass a children's recreation area with a toy train, fairground and theater.

2.     Bangalore Palace

The palace had witnessed years of neglect and was largely ignored as a tourist attraction. However, the renovations carried out by the authorities have relegated the palace to its original splendor. 

3.     Tipu Sultan's Palace

The palace dates from about 1790. It served as the summer retreat for Tipu sultan. The palace is a two-storey structure crafted mostly out of wood. The main attractions include the finely embellished balconies, pillars and arches. There are beautiful floral motifs embellishing the walls of the palace. 

4.     The Bull Temple

Located in Basavanagudi, the Bull Temple is a perfect example of the Dravidian style architecture. The main highlight of the temple is the mammoth bull statue carved from a single boulder.

5.     The Maha Bodhi Society Temple

This temple is a relatively a new addition to Bangalore’s landscape. The main shrine replicates the historic stupa at Bodh Gaya. The surrounding of the temple grounds provides the much needed relief from the chaos of the city.
