A combined bank account is not required to collect a spouse or wife's pension, according to the federal government. A retired public servant's pension will be available to his spouse in the case of his death. To utilise it, you must now have a joint bank account with your spouse. However, for a variety of reasons, some retirees choose not to open this joint bank account. As a result, his widow is having difficulty obtaining a pension following his death.

After consulting with pension department officials, Union minister of State for Personnel jitendra singh made a statement that stated, "Retired government employees are sometimes left unable to register a joint bank account." As a result, we requested that the Department of Pensions refrain from requiring the opening of a joint bank account. This was also accepted. Simultaneously, we have urged banks against forcing retirees to register a separate account in a combined bank account. It is stated in the book.

A life certificate is one of the most crucial documents in the hand of persons who get pension in India. To continue collecting their pension without interruption, all government retirees must present their life certificates on an annual basis. The deadline for submitting a life certificate for retirees is november 30th, which is only six days away.
