NCPCR sent notice to ICICI Bank?...

The National Commission for Protection of Child Rights has sent a notice to icici bank after demanding the children who lost their parents in the second wave of Covid to repay the home loan. In fact, the parents of four children had taken a home loan of 25 lakhs from this bank in which 7 lakhs had been paid. These children are going through a bad financial situation after losing their parents in the second wave of Covid.

The bank was harassing the children and their grandparents

After the parents passed away, the bank was continuously calling the grandparents of the children and pressurizing them to pay off the loan owed to the deceased couple. The bank's recoveries were continuously pressurizing the minor children to pay the remaining 18 lakhs.

The bank had allegedly menaced to pay the loan amount

These minor children were constantly being called for extortion and were being threatened. This action of the bank went unnoticed by the National Commission for Protection of Child Rights. NCPCR, while sending a notice to the bank, recorded that the commission wants you to be personally present in this matter. The matter will be heard on april 20.
