GST Rules On train Ticket Cancellation!!!

What was said earlier?
According to the statement issued by the Ministry of Railways on 23 september 2017, the GST charged at the time of booking of train tickets is refunded to the passengers at the time of cancellation of the ticket. Railways had said that the GST collected at the time of booking is refunded along with the cost of the ticket.
What is GST applicable on?
Railways have said that according to the refund rules, the amount of GST on cancellation / clerkage charge and cancellation / clerkage charge for AC and first class remains with the Railways. At the same time, GST is levied on it by the Ministry of Finance.
How much is deducted from which class?
According to the information given by the railways, Rs 240 is deducted from the ticket amount for cancellation of AC class 48 hours in advance. Apart from this, Rs 120 is deducted from your ticket amount in the sleeper class. In the second class, only Rs 60 is charged as a cancellation charge.
