You can now use a credit card to make UPI payments!!!

Fintech platform Razorpay has partnered with the National Payments Corporation of india (NPCI). This partnership will allow Razorpay credit card holders to use the Unified Payments Interface (UPI) to pay for goods and services.

National Payments Corporation of india, which is responsible for making all payment options, is constantly taking innovative decisions to increase the use of UPI across the country. So far, NPCI had accepted the possibility of using credit cards to enhance UPI payments. For this, UPI and Rupay have partnered. Subsequently, the Razorpay payment gateway now allows its merchants to accept UPI payments through Rupay Credit Card.

Razorpay said that Axis bank is a partner of Razorpay. This decision has been taken keeping in mind the demands of the traders. RuPay Credit Card is now accepted by merchants using Razorpay and UPI. You will be able to make payments to Razorpay merchants using your Rupay credit card through hdfc bank, punjab National bank, Union bank and indian bank as the first banks.

The major advantage of linking your UPI credit card is that you do not need to carry it with you anywhere. Credit card payment through UPI is simple and convenient. However, while making this payment, you have to choose the credit card option instead of the debit card option. According to NPCI data, around 250 million indians use UPI for daily transactions. 50 million people in this country use one or more credit cards.
