It was the ace director Gautam Menon who was the first one who discovered Megha Akash. During a visit to capital city Hyderabad, Gautam happened to show the pictures on his laptop to Nithin. That was when Lie's director Hanu Raghavpudi was impressed and hand picked Megha Akash for the lead in Lie.
Moreover, Nithin added that the film needed a dedicated heroine to shoot abroad in the US for full set of 75 days at a stretch. This wouldn't have been definitely possible had it been a top heroine, says Nithin.So, the chance slipped and fell , the unit decided on Megha Akash.
