Sources have stated that Ajith's film Vivegam had not only dominated the screens during the Ganesh Chathurthi weekend, but is now said to be the fourth highest opening Ajith film in UK with £ 106,977. In the US, the film has collected $452,263 so far.
According to sources in France, the film has got more than 8,000 entries during the opening weekend. Vivegam has overtaken Hollywood films and has grabbed the second spot in Malaysia. With the shows still running to packed houses, the film is said to become a blockbuster. In India, advance booking for the film continues at a brisk pace and it looks like Vivegam will continue to dominate this week as well.
Moreover the film marks the debut of Vivek Oberoi
and Akshara Hassan in Kollywood. Siva had directed with Ajith and Kajal
Aggarwal in the lead. Music for the film is by Anirudh Ravichander.
