Superstar rajinikanth had last appeared in the karthik Subbaraj directorial petta which was released this pongal, and now he's working on his 167th movie darbar helmed by AR Murugadoss.
Following darbar, Rajnikanth will be seen next in a movie helmed by Siva whose Viswasam starring Thala ajith starrer was loved by superstar Rajnikanth that he invited the director and signed a project with him.
After the initial buzz that Siva - Rajni movie will feature music by Yuvan shankar Raja, the latest reports confirmed that music director d imman who worked on Viswasam and Siva's Suriya 39 will be composing music for Rajnikanth movie. The music composer himself now revealed that he has completed one song and they also shot it on a lavish scale.
Meanwhile, darbar is said to have Superstar in a police officer character many years after Pandian. Directed by AR murugadoss after the disastrous movie Sarkar this movie is bankrolled by lyca productions and will have Superstar paired with Lady Superstar Nayanthara and will also star nivetha thomas, yogi Babu, Kathir, dalip tahil, Shreya Gupta and prateik babbar.
