In 2018 releases the massively budgeted movie of Sandalwood titled kgf Chapter 1 starring Rocking star yash and srinidhi shetty and the movie helmed by prashanth neel went on to gross more than 250 crores.
KGF Chapter 1 was dubbed in tamil as well with the tamil version turning a commercial success and earning following for the action episodes of the movie. Now yash is making a comeback to tamil again, with another dubbed movie.
Yash's 2016 hit named Santhu straightforward costarring his wife radhika pandit and Helmed by mahesh Rao will be released in tamil as Sooryavamsi this november and will feature tamil hero Shaam of 12B, Ullam Ketkume fame in a negative role. Actor saran Shakthi was launched in films as a child artist by ace director Maniratnam in his disastrous Kadal and he was also the hero in the movie Sagaa. saran Shakthi gained fame playing the foul-mouthed brother in law of dhanush in the gangster flick Vada chennai directed by Vetrimaran.
