A few months back the announcement was made that director AL vijay will be helming the biopic of former tamil Nadu chief minister and actress Jayalalitha, with the movie titled thalaivi and planned to be released in tamil, hindi, and Telugu.
thalaivi is bankrolled by Vibri media and bollywood actress kangana ranaut was announced to play the lead role in the movie as Jayalalitha. music for thalaivi will be scored by gv prakash and the script will be penned by ace writer vijayendra prasad, father of SS Rajamouli.
The latest buzz is that actress kangana demanded the team of thalaivi to have the title thalaivi for hindi and telugu versions too, just like Tamil. Earlier the team had named the bollywood version as Jaya and soon it might be officially changed to thalaivi in hindi as well. kangana is already facing a lot of heat for her dumb comments claiming that only 4% of the indian population pay taxes and the rest are just enjoying the benefits. This was severely criticized by the netizens and now her role in 'Thalaivi' is again facing the heat. ramya krishnan who essayed a similar role in 'Queen' got praises from all quarters.
