Keerthy suresh who was mocked as troll material gave a huge comeback in 2018 with the movie 'Mahanati' and the movie received lots of praises and critics from movie buffs and audiences. It even won the Box Office. Keerthy suresh essayed the role of 'Savitri' and her breakout performance established her as a Pan-India actress.


Nag Ashwin also became a famous director after the release. The period movie was crafted so well and the entire team including cinematography, art direction, and especially costume design were praised immensely due to its detailing and for representing the era authentically.
