Is 'Romantic' a narrative about love or lust? Addressing the useless inquiry takes up a lot of screen time. It's futile because puri jagannadh, the writer, can exaggerate anything and call it intellectual reasoning. It's pointless to make differences between love and dedication when you can pass the latter off as the former with the use of a manipulative curse here and a seductive tune there. 'Romantic' becomes all about theatrics after a while. However, this is also a mobster drama, with action scenes taking place only while Monica (Ketika Sharma) is not there.

Vasco (Akash puri as mobster) goes insane when she is not within striking range and brings down enormous smuggling organisations in an instance. His abilities are as follows. Vasco has a bleak history. He, too, is an orphan. That provides him the authority to sexually assault the appealing heroine in addition to gaming the terrible system. He can never be vanquished, just like Pandu (Mahesh Babu) in 'Pokiri'. He is a do-gooder with a massive following, similar to surya Baba in 'Businessman' (obviously, Mahesh Babu). 'Romantic' is written by puri jagannadh, who directed the abovementioned superstar films.

The overall result feels like an overaggressive procession of stale cliches that Akash puri, a second-time protagonist, fails to do right to. puri jagannadh feels that his viewers will never inquire as to where his characters' daredevilry comes from. When your star is a Pawan Kalyan, Prabhas, or Mahesh, this mentality works. When your protagonist is an Akash puri, who continues to give the most trigger-happy encounter expert (ACP ramya Gowarikar) sleeplessness without putting in much effort in this movie, it appears obese. She is reduced to screams and shouts, as well as adoring over his ostensibly flawless love storyline.
