Rowdy Pictures, the production company of filmmaker Vignesh Shivn, has announced that it will create first ever Gujarati feature, 'Shubh Yaatra,' directed by manish Saaini. The movie would be Rowdy Productions' first entry into Gujarati cinema. Vignesh Shivn announced the decision on social networking sites, saying, "We're excited to announce our first foray into Gujarati cinema, starring Malhar Thaakar and Monal Gajaar.

'Shubh Yaatra,' helmed by National prize winner Maanish Saini, would be Rowdy Productions' first feature. I'm looking forward to a long and steady adventure here." Monal Gajaar, who portrays the female protagonist in the gujarathi movie, has previously worked in the tamil cinema business. She is most recognised for her role in the tamil action thriller 'Sigaram Thoddu,' in which she co-starred with vikram Prabhu.

Monaal Gajjar responded to Vignesh Shivan's post by saying, "Vignesh Shivan, Rowdy Productions, extends a heartfelt welcome to the Gujarati movie industry. Shri Krishnaa, Jai. Our 'Shubh Yaatra' is about to begin." This is indeed a drastic step for Vignesh as he wanted to set his foot strong first of all in the South industry before jumping to North side languages and their movie business.
