Elizabeth Olsen previews the possibility of a jump scare moment ahead of the premiere of doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. The sequel, directed by sam Raimi, will pick up where Spider-Man: No Way home left off in its multiverse adventure. Benedict Cumberbatch will reprise his role as doctor Strange after his performance in No Way home, and Elizabeth Olsen will reprise her role as Scarlet Witch, which she last played in WandaVision. Raimi is well-known for his work on the original Spider-Man trilogy, but he is also no stranger to the horror genre. Raimi founded The Evil Dead franchise in 1981, which spawned four feature pictures and a television show. Raimi just produced the supernatural horror film Umma for sony Pictures, which stars Sandra Oh from Grey's Anatomy. As a maestro of the horror genre, fans have eagerly anticipating the release of doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, billed as Marvel's first true horror film.

Olsen commended Raimi for his previous horror attempts in a new promotional video for the impending MCU sequel (via IGN). doctor Strange 2 will follow a similar process of building as much tension as possible for the viewer, as she praised his successes in fostering a "terrifying movie experience." Furthermore, Olsen alluded to a key "jump scare scene" in the movie. "She stated," she said "Sam has made a name for himself as a terrifying moviegoer. He's building up as much suspense as possible for the viewers, just in case they get that jump fright."
