Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) new film 'Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness' has taken a massive opening in india on the very first day of its release.


Released on more than 2500 screens in english as well as hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Malayalam, the collection of 'Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness' was lower than MCU's previous film 'Spiderman: No Way Home' but It has got the fourth position in terms of the opening day of hollywood films released so far in the country. And, this film has finally challenged the box office blockbuster 'KGF Chapter 2' for the first time. 


There has been a lot of hype about the film 'Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness' for the past several weeks. Most of the tickets for the first day of the film were booked in the booking. The opening of bookings of the film a month before the release was also a new experiment for Hollywood.



 The first-day net collection of the film is expected to be around Rs 29 crore. According to estimates, the english language version of the film had the highest collections followed by the hindi version of the film.



According to preliminary figures, the film 'Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness was collected all over the country on the first day of its release, Rs 26 crore. The hindi version of the film was number two, with a total gross of around Rs 9 crore. 


The film did not perform as well in other languages and the film earned around Rs 2 crore on the first day taking all other indian languages together. The film 'Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness' has got more than two and a half thousand screens across the country for release. 


Whereas the MCU film 'Spiderman: No Way Home' released before this was released on more than 3250 screens and took an opening of around Rs 32.67 crore in india on the first day of release.

Taking a better opening, the film 'Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness' has taken Captain Marvel out of the top 5 films that have got the highest opening among hollywood films released in India.
