Spider-Man is the biggest omission from Marvel's Phase 5 plans and the two major events that will conclude Phase 6 of what is now known as the Multiverse Saga. How does he fit into the rest of the Multiverse Saga, though? Kevin Feige clarified everything during Marvel's Hall H panel at San Diego Comic-Con 2022, revealing not only when Phase 4 will end but also the movies and tv shows forming Phase 5 and the two events that will close the Multiverse Saga: Avengers: The Kang Dynasty and Secret Wars. There had been a lot of doubt and speculating about where the MCU's Phase 4 is heading because so far most of its movies and tv shows felt disconnected.

With the release of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, Phase 4 comes to a conclusion, and Phase 5 will begin with Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, which will officially introduce Kang the Conqueror (Jonathan Majors), the main antagonist of the Multiverse Saga. Along with the formation of an antihero team called Thunderbolts, new heroes like the Fantastic Four and Riri Williams/Ironheart will be introduced in this new age of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). However, the Multiverse Saga's plans omit certain significant figures.

One of them is Spider-Man, who has thus far played a significant role in the Multiverse Saga as a result of the events of Spider-Man: No Way Home, in which he and doctor Strange unintentionally unlocked the multiverse's gates and significantly altered the fabric of space and time. Despite the fact that Spider-actions Man's affected the events of doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness and will undoubtedly still be felt throughout the remainder of Phases 4 and 5, Spider-Man isn't currently a part of the Multiverse Saga.
