With each passing day, it appears that the controversy surrounding the impending Hindu mythical movie "Adipurush," which stars prabhas, Kriti Sanon, and saif ali khan in the key roles, is picking more steam. The movie has already received mockery for the subpar VFX that could be seen in its teaser. Then Madhya Pradesh's home Minister, Narottam Mishra, objected to a picture of Lord Hanuman wearing a "leather suit."

More lately, some online trolls have started making fun of the movie due to Saif ali Khan's portrayal as Raavan. Om Raut, the film's director, has since stepped forward to defend the representation and his artistic decision. The filmmaker responded to the film's extensive mockery of Saif's portrayal of Raavan by saying to Aaj Tak: "Our modern-day Ravan is evil and vicious. The person who kidnapped our goddess Sita is vicious. We have demonstrated how Raavan appears in the present. For us, this is not a movie or a project."

Naming the movie "Raut continued, "Our film is a symbol of our commitment and we need everyone's blessings for this. It is a mission for the entire production team. Our senior citizens are the ones talking about the movie. I am paying close attention to everything they say and taking notes. I won't let you down when you view the movie in january 2023." On january 12, 2023, the movie, in which prabhas plays Lord ram and Kriti plays Sita, will be released in theatres.
