According to industry insiders, Brahmastra's run is about to conclude in practically all indian theatres after earning close to 300 crores across all of the nation's languages. The movie managed to earn a total of 400 crores gross, if the overseas earnings are taken into account. Despite the fact that Disney and karan johar made the movie together, it is said that they sold it to third parties for a staggering 300 crores around the world.
Accordingly, the movie needs to earn 650 crores or more in order to break even. The movie is undoubtedly a failure if the 185 crores in box office receipts it has so far garnered are any indication. Even though ranbir kapoor previously denied that the movie's budget was 300 crores, Disney and karan could have easily made 400 crores from the movie's sales. Disney may retain the movie's internet streaming rights, but they have sold the satellite rights for all other languages to channels other than Star network.
