Bollywood is having trouble catching up to South indian cinema, according to the success rate at the box office. At the moment, South films are India's top-grossing genre. For those who disagree, here is a figure about the overall number of people who visit movie theatres in the Hindi-speaking regions of the nation. With 26.93 million visitors, kgf 2 easily takes the top spot. Additionally, it supports the yash starrer's title as the highest-grossing movie of the year. Even though it isn't a hindi movie, this one has the most viewers in the entire hindi belt.

The biggest film in bollywood this year is Bramhastra, which follows. It receives 15.2 million viewers in the hindi market, however it is not even close to kgf 2. Then there is RRR, a movie starring ram Charan, Jr. NTR, and Rajamouli, which has drawn 14.25 million viewers. This action thriller came quite close to beating Bramhastra, a popular bollywood blockbuster. Bhool Bhulaiyaa is ranked fifth with 9.92 million visitors, followed by kashmir Files in fourth place with 14.21 million. The Major of adivi sesh clocked 1.24 million. Ajith's valimai is the only tamil movie to make an impact in the 2022 hindi Footfalls list as well.
