The year 2022 had some amazing anime. The year was loaded with both new classics and old favourites, from the outlandish Chainsaw Man to the harmless but dangerous Spy x Family. But given how successful 2022 was for anime, it's only logical to ask what to expect in 2023, so here are five of the most eagerly awaited shows.

Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2

The second season of Jujutsu Kaisen, which will focus on the Shibuya Incident arc, is the first to air. Jujutsu Kaisen, which chronicles the journey of high school student Yuji Itadori as he joins the Jujutsu Tech school of sorcerers, has been widely anticipated by the series' fans. Without giving too much away, Itadori and his fellow sorcerers will definitely face some of the most challenging and horrifying circumstances they have ever faced throughout the Shibuya Incident Arc. In the upcoming plot arcs, it will be examined where powerful Special Grade Sorcerors Gojo and Geto came from, and a lot of people will die.

Solo Leveling

The 2023 adaptation of Solo Leveling, also known as "Only I Level Up," will excite fans of Korean web novels. The protagonist of this television show is Sung Jin-Woo, a young guy who is the world's worst hunter. Jin-Woo embarks on a mission to become the best hunter in the world, yet, after a bizarre incident grants him the ability to level up in reality. Jin-Woo finds himself in the middle of a complicated conflict between two rival organisations who have made it their mission to determine the ultimate fate of humanity as a result of his recently acquired abilities.

Nier: Automata ver 1.1

The latest anime adaptation of the well-known video game series Nier Automata Ver. 1.1 is another widely anticipated 2023 release. Similar to Solo Leveling, A-1 Pictures will handle this adaptation. The main character of Nier's original narrative was a man who travelled the globe in quest of a treatment for a condition that seemed to have no hope of recovery. However, it's anticipated that the Nier anime would more closely resemble the plot of Nier: Automata, a riveting science fiction thriller about humanity fending off an alien invasion with the help of cybernetic androids.
