Although the S.S. Rajamouli-directed film "RRR" won the Golden Globe for Best Original Song, it was beaten by the Argentine film "Argentina, 1985" for the prize for Best Motion Picture Non-English. In the Non-English category, "RRR" was up for nomination against the Korean romantic mystery "Decision To Leave," the German anti-war drama "All Quiet on the Western Front," the historical drama "Argentina, 1985," and the French-Dutch coming-of-age drama "Close." ram charan and Jr. ntr play the principal characters in "RRR," a movie that has gained worldwide acclaim and grossed over Rs 1,200 crore (roughly).

Regarding "Argentina, 1985," the movie is based on actual occasions surrounding the 1985 Trial of the Juntas, which saw the last civil-military dictatorship in Argentina's history's leaders brought to justice. It gives light on the efforts made by a team of attorneys under the direction of prosecutors Julio CAssera and Luis Moreno Ocampo against individuals in charge of the bloodiest dictatorship in Argentina's history. In India, Lionsgate Play is broadcasting the 2023 Golden Globe Awards.
