With none other than acting prodigy vikram playing the lead, Pa Ranjith is currently working on a film about kgf, or Kolar gold Fields. Thangalaan is the name of the teaser, which was published in october of last year. This time, Pa Ranjith will be creating a realistic portrayal of how kgf mines used to operate under the british and the atrocities meted out to the indian workers, in contrast to prashant Neel, who created rocky Bhai character and completely fictionalized the content.
KGF was originally ruled by the tamil Cholas for centuries and is situated on the border of tamilnadu and Karnataka. In KGF-related townships and locations, there are still a lot of people of tamil ancestry, tamil traditions, and temples. There are rumours that Pa Ranjith will investigate this element of the now-shuttered goldmines, which were once very well-known. It remains to be seen, though, how much this kgf variant will be patronised.
